It gives me great pleasure to share with you The Hunger Project’s Annual Report 2015-2016. The Report is a testimony to our consistent and unwavering commitment as an organisation towards building the effective leadership of rural women as Elected Women Representatives in the governance structures of Panchayati Raj Institutions.
Over the years, the core principles of our work that revolve around promoting women’s agency and leadership in Gram Panchayats have become more honed and aligned with gender and social justice dimensions. This is reflected in the programmatic work and interventions carried out by us in the 50 districts of India, spread across 7 major Indian States.
Overall, the year has been a fruitful year for us, enriched with important lessons and critical learnings.
As always, I am thankful for your valuable support to The Hunger Project in its various endeavors.
