The focus in Uttarakhand is on strengthening the leadership of Elected Women Representatives in Gram Panchayats through training workshops in various districts.
MAHILA HAAT – They have been working to empower and bring self-confidence, develop selfesteem and self-reliance of rural  women. The focus of the work is on empowerment of women, particularly the underprivileged and marginalized through their economic upliftment and social emancipation.
Works in Partnership with THP in – Almora and Nainital Districts
GRAM UTHAN SAMITI (GUS) – GUS is a non-governmental organization established in the year1979 working in the remote and difficult areas of Uttarakhand. It takes a holistic approach to development focusing on the local communities ecological, social, and economic needs. Their strength in the work is their women’s federations who are working on various social issues.
KASTURBA MAHILA UTHAN MANDAL (LAKSHMI ASHRAM)-Lakshmi Ashram is one of the committed organizations in Uttarakhand working on issues of women and girl children. They have rich experience of fighting for forest, river and land rights in the region.
Works in Partnership with THP in – Almora District – Takula Block
ARPAN – ARPAN is a right-based organization working with rural women mainly on issues of women’s empowerment and violence against women.
Works in Partnership with THP in – Pithoragarh District – Kannanichila and Dharchula Blocks
